Press Release: Pardon to 111 Nepali Nationals by the Government of UAE

The Government of Nepal expresses its sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the gracious royal pardon granted to the 111 Nepali inmates on the auspicious occasion of Eid Al Adha, 2026.

The Ministry highly values this kind gesture of pardon as the manifestation of deepening friendship and cordiality in the existing bilateral relations between Nepal and the UAE.

The decision of the pardon was taken by the friendly Government of the UAE in response to the requests made by the Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi as per the instructions of the Ministry.

The pardoned Nepali nationals, subject to the absence of any other pending legal cases or travel restrictions, will be able to return to Nepal upon completion of the requisite legal and administrative procedures in accordance with the prevailing laws of the United Arab Emirates.
