TFD Responds to Commercial Building Fire on Capital Circle

October 06, 2025

On Saturday, Oct. 4, at 6:06 p.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) was dispatched to a commercial building fire in the 900 block of Capital Circle SW. Firefighters arrived on scene in less than five minutes to find heavy smoke and fire coming from a single-story self-storage facility. Crews forced open several large commercial roll-up doors and began attacking the fire, stopping the spread to additional units. Though several units were damaged, the majority were saved thanks to fire walls inside the building and the quick response by TFD.

The State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.

TFD was assisted on scene by Leon County Sheriff's Office, Leon County EMS and City of Tallahassee Utilities.
