BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (Jan. 21, 2026)― Effective Jan. 1, 2027, DENSO Manufacturing Michigan, Inc. (DMMI), will acquire SYSTEX Products Corporation (SPC) from Shimizu Industry through a stock purchase.

The move will unite the two Battle Creek manufacturers, strengthening DMMI's thermal manufacturing capabilities and operational efficiency, as well as how teams at each location collaborate. More than 200 SPC team members will transfer to DMMI and become DENSO employees.

Shimizu Industry is a DENSO Corporation group company. Its subsidiary, SPC has worked closely with DENSO for years. The acquisition is the latest development in DENSO's strategy to streamline and optimize its North American manufacturing operations. This action will also reinforce the company's ability to produce next-gen thermal products and positions DENSO to continue to meet customers' evolving needs.

"Integrating SPC into DMMI is a strategic step that will make our operations stronger and more agile," said Shuichi Kamakura, president of DMMI. "By combining teams, systems and capabilities in Battle Creek, we will improve our competitiveness and focus on efficient, high-quality manufacturing that supports our customers across the region. We look forward to working together over the next 12 months to ensure a smooth transition."

Established in 1984, DMMI was DENSO's first manufacturing site located in the U.S. Today the location is a leading manufacturer of automotive thermal solutions, where a team of more than 2,100 work together to make mobility greener and safer for all. Its campus features 1,380,000 square feet of manufacturing, warehouse and administrative floor space in seven buildings.

SPC, established in 1992, produces components for automotive air conditioning and engine cooling systems. Its campus comprises more than 200,386 square feet of manufacturing, warehouse and administrative floor space in two buildings.

DENSO continues to evolve its operations to help its customers and teams succeed in the future.
