Beginning in June, The University of Toledo has been hosting career-focused and hands-on learning summer camps, with faculty experts providing high school students opportunities to explore a variety of fields - healthcare, marketing, pharmacy and science - in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Medical students Desiree Schafer, left, and Laney Hoyt explain how to intubate a patient to students attending the College of Medicine and Life Sciences' Future Doctors Camp.
From left, registered nurse Ecole Charley, and campers Bridget Brooks, Castle Quinn and Aliyah Franklin compete in a surgical personal protective equipment (PPE) relay at the Nursing and Respiratory Care Camp hosted by the College of Health and Human Services.
Dr. Gabriella Baki, left, a professor and director of the undergraduate Cosmetic Science and Formulation Design Program in the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, assists camper Mary Murphy with an exercise during the Pharmacy and Science Career Camp.
Ruben Mamani, right, a graduate student in mathematics in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, gives instructions to Nehemiah Tate during a Math Circle Summer Session at UToledo.
More educational camps, as well as day camps for children and UToledo Athletics' volleyball and basketball camps for multiple age groups, continue through July through and into August.
