At City Of Las Vegas Parks And The West Las Vegas Arts Center

The city of Las Vegas offers five free events for the public this Friday and Saturday. April 24-25, in parks and the West Las Vegas Arts Center.

Youth Jazz Showcase

Friday, April 24, 6-8 p.m.

Centennial Hills Park Amphitheatre

7101 N. Buffalo Drive at Deer Springs Way

Free event for all ages.

This night of jazz, rock and funk music includes performing ensembles from multiple Clark County School District schools. All family, friends and community are invited to this free event at the Centennial Hills Park Amphitheatre, featuring ensembles from Arbor View High School, Cadwallader and Escobedo Middle Schools. Bring low-back chairs and blankets to be more comfortable on the lawn. No glass or pets allowed in the amphitheatre.

An Evening with the Princess

Friday, April 24, 7-8:30 p.m.

West Las Vegas Arts Center

Free and open to adults.

Join a journey into the heart of poetry in a night woven together with personal stories and reflections presented by spoken word artist, the E. Princess.

Caribbean Heritage Festival

Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza in Lorenzi Park

720 Twin Lakes Drive

Free and open to the public of all ages.

Sample the traditions, music and flavors of the Caribbean!

Enjoy a day of performances that will include calypso, reggae, Cuban music and sounds directly from the Caribbean, as well as kids' activities, community exhibitors, artisan vendor booths, and a variety of food trucks. Bring low-back chairs and blankets to be more comfortable outside on the lawn. No glass or pets, please.

Children's Soccer Fest / Fiesta Futbolera del NiƱo

Saturday, April 25, 2-6 p.m.

Free and open to the public.

Dress ready for soccer and join the community for a fun-filled day with family, entertainment and activities. Free toys will be given to the first 1,000 children, while supplies last. Enjoy raffles and prizes, soccer games and tournaments, live music and dancing, kids' activities (including games, bounce houses and face painting), and a magic show by Enrique de Leon.
