>Enhancing Community Fire Safety Awareness Through the Installation of Smoke Detectors [Puerto Rico]

In April 2026, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Caribbean, Inc. (MMSC), Mitsubishi Motor's sales distributor in Puerto Rico, made a financial contribution to the American Red Cross Puerto Rico Chapter to support fire prevention education and the installation of smoke detectors in communities across the island.

A group of MMSC employees, together with volunteers from the American Red Cross Puerto Rico Chapter, installed approximately 445 smoke alarms free of charge in 232 homes in the Barrio Pueblo community in Río Grande.

This initiative is part of the event titled "Activate Your Alarm, Save a Life," which aims to reduce fatalities and injuries caused by residential fires-the most common disaster responded to by the American Red Cross across the island.
