VIENNA, 19 January (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the United Nations (Vienna), Manuchehr Jobir presented his credentials today to the Acting Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) John Brandolino.
During his career, Manuchehr Jobir, who is also Ambassador to Austria, has served in various capacities, among them:
Head of the External Economic Cooperation Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2023-2025); Counselor, Embassy in Paris to France and Italy (2019-2023); Deputy Head, International Organizations Department, Head of the United Nations Unit, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2017-2019); Counselor, Department of Europe and American Countries, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2017); First Secretary, Embassy in Brussels and Permanent Mission to the European Union, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and UN Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) (2014-2017); Head of the Oversees Administration Unit, Human Resources Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2011-2014); Third Secretary of the Consulate General in Yekaterinburg, Russian Federation (2008-2011); Specialist/Third Secretary, Human Resources Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2007-2008); Deputy Head, Local Government Administration of the Varzob District, Tajikistan (2006-2007); and Specialist, Foreign Economic Relations Unit, JSC Mining Company "Takob", Tajikistan (2003-2006).
Mr. Manuchehr Jobir holds a Master's degree in international politics from CERIS-ULB Diplomatic School of Brussels, Belgium.
He speaks English, Russian and Tajik.
