Howell Paving Donates to Support SBL Regional Cancer Center Expansion

Howell Paving, Inc. recently made a $65,000 donation to Expanding Hope, the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Foundation Capital Campaign to help fund the expansion of the Regional Cancer Center. Construction on the first phase of the 15,000 square foot project began in April and is expected to be complete in May 2027, with phase two beginning at that time.

"This is a wonderful gift from Howell Paving, and we'll be so proud to recognize the company and Holly Adams, President, in the expanded space," said Amy Card, SBL Health Foundation director. "Holly is such a great ambassador for Sarah Bush Lincoln, and her generosity will impact so many patients who walk through the doors of the Regional Cancer Center for many years to come."

The $17.2 million Cancer Center expansion calls for additional chemotherapy infusion bays, expanded reception and treatment areas, eight new exam rooms and additional parking. Dedicated space is also being built for non-oncology medical infusion, a service currently located in the hospital.

"This expansion is desperately needed to accommodate the growing number of patient visits to the Regional Cancer Center, and we're proud to be a part of it," Holly said. "This region is fortunate to have Sarah Bush Lincoln, including its oncology team that provides such skilled and compassionate care to those battling cancer." Last year, the Regional Cancer Center had over 100,000 patient visits, doubling the number it had in 2020.
