NEW: UAS Guidance release by FHWA
FHWA is releasing guidance regarding the procurement and operational use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) on Federal-aid projects and related activities. The document, entitled Policy on Use of FHWA Funds and Activities "In Connection With" Covered Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), along with its accompanying FAQs document is now available for distribution.
The document and FAQs are available on the FHWA Unmanned Aircraft Systems website.
The document is also published in the Policy & Guidance Center (PGC) at https://www.fhwa.dot.gov/pgc/index.cfm?ddisc=125&dsub=1696.
The Office of Infrastructure plans to conduct internal webinars to overview the policy document and address any questions. More details are coming soon.
