Parks and Recreation to host fourth annual Father-Daughter Ball

The City of Yuma's Parks and Recreation Department will host fourth annual Father-Daughter Ball on Saturday, September 12, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Pivot Point Conference Center (200 N. Madison Avenue).

Girls ages 4 to 12 are invited to enjoy a special evening with their fathers or father figures. The event will include dinner, a craft activity, music from a DJ playing age-appropriate favorites, and plenty of opportunities to dance and sing along.

Each daughter will receive a flower, and every pair will have the opportunity capture the evening with a photo together. Guests will also receive a dessert to take home as a sweet ending to the evening.

"Programs like the Father-Daughter Ball give families an opportunity to spend quality time together," said Marilyn Lammel, Recreation Program Supervisor. "This special evening allows fathers and daughters to celebrate their relationship and create memories together."

Tickets are $60 per pair, which includes one adult and one daughter. Tickets for additional daughters are available for $20 each. Space is limited, and advance purchase is required. The event has sold out each year, so families interested in attending should purchase tickets early. Registration closes Thursday, September 3.

Tickets may be purchased online, by phone through Parks and Recreation, or in person at the Parks and Recreation office located on the first floor of City Hall (One City Plaza).
