Industry News: ICA Fund Exits Investment In Just Date
ICA Fund has announced the successful exit of its investment in Just Date, a food company producing organic, date-based sweetener as a healthier alternative to refined sugar. The company will continue its next phase of growth through a strategic partnership with private equity firm Contour Ridge. Just Date was founded in 2018 by physician, Dr. Sylvie Charles Royston and headquartered in San Francisco. ICA invested in the company through Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE) notes in 2022 and 2024, and during that time Just Date expanded its product portfolio, strengthened its manufacturing capabilities, and increased distribution with major retailers, including Whole Foods.
