Travel Hub Forum “Commonwealth” Presented at Mountain Resorts Festival in Azerbaijan
The II Festival of the Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts took place in Azerbaijan. As part of the business programme, a plenary session entitled "Prospects and Opportunities of Eurasian Mountain Tourism" was held.
Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy sent greetings to the participants of the meeting. He said that the IPA CIS pays special attention to the creation of a common legal framework in the tourism and hospitality industry of the countries of the region. The organisation develops model advisory legal acts in the field of tourism.
The Assembly organises thematic events, one of which is the Travel Hub Forum "Commonwealth". Over the years, the forum has been dedicated to medical, industrial and mountain tourism. In 2024, it was held for the first time in an off-site format - in Tajikistan.
According to the Secretary General an intergovernmental working group is currently being set up to prepare proposals on the development of the tourism and hospitality industry in the CIS.
Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport Igor Minin spoke about the activities of this specialised IPA CIS Commission.
