On December 30, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov met with Yu Jun Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the outcomes of 2025 were reviewed, and the priority directions of the all-weather, comprehensive strategic partnership for 2026 were identified.
The steady and sustainable development of bilateral cooperation, the maintenance of regular and substantive contacts at the high and top levels, as well as the notable activation of interregional partnership, were positively assessed.
It was emphasized that expanding cooperation across all areas-including political dialogue, trade and economic, investment, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation-contributes to further strengthening the all-weather, comprehensive strategic partnership and the implementation of joint initiatives.
It was noted that the development of bilateral relations is consistently based on solid principles of friendship and mutual trust, equal and mutually beneficial cooperation, support for the key interests of both parties, and a shared commitment to joint development, sustainable progress, and prosperity.
The Chinese side confirmed its unwavering support for Uzbekistan's chosen independent path of national development and expressed readiness to continue providing comprehensive assistance in promoting priority socio-economic reform programs implemented under the framework of the "New Uzbekistan" Strategy.
The Uzbek side, in turn, reaffirmed its consistent and principled support for the One China principle, as well as the territorial integrity and state sovereignty of the People's Republic of China.
