MAYOR'S UPDATES

  • Federal Government Re-opening: The federal government officially re-opened yesterday, and my administration is coordinating with our congressional delegation to ensure that the benefits and services Stamford residents rely on are restored as quickly as possible. We are closely monitoring any lingering impacts from the shutdown on city grants, operations, and our nonprofit and business partners, and will share updates as needed.
  • Veterans Day Parade: Last weekend, it was a beautiful day in Stamford to honor our veterans! Congratulations to our 2025 Parade Grand Marshal, U.S. Army Captain Dan Sandford. Thank you to all the men and women in uniform - past and present - who have courageously served our nation and safeguarded the freedoms we cherish. We are grateful for your service and enduring commitment to our community and country.
  • LaunchPad Marketing: I am thrilled to announce The City of Stamford is partnering with LaunchPad, a program of the Village Community Foundation, to support up to 10 Stamford-based small businesses with professional digital marketing services to take their business and brand to the next level. This opportunity is designed to help local business owners strengthen their online presence in today's digital marketplace and increase the experience of Launchpad's dynamic team of skilled creatives. Selected businesses will be matched with professionals who will provide onsite video and photography sessions, edited highlight reels, and additional promotional materials. Apply here to participate: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/N5PVV6J. The application period runs until November 21
  • Open Enrollment: Open enrollment in Connecticut runs from November 1st to January 15th. During this time, residents can sign up for, renew, or make changes to their health coverage for 2026. Individuals and families can enroll directly at any Community Health Center across Stamford and the state, where trained and certified staff are available to provide free, in-person assistance throughout the process.
