Help Keep Henderson Beautiful: ‘Henderson Shines’ Cleanup Returns Nov. 1

Residents Encouraged to Bring Hazardous Materials to Safely Dispose of at Event

HENDERSON, Nev.(Oct. 13, 2025) - In response to resident demand, the City of Henderson has announced the return of Henderson Shines on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Sun City Anthem Center.

To support neighborhood beautification, residents are encouraged to bring hazardous materials-including paint, oil, and electronics-to safely dispose of at the event. Gently used clothing, household items and children's books will also be accepted as donations.

At the last Henderson Shines event in April 2025, approximately 461 vehicles participated in the drive-through event and resulted in the City and its partners collecting:

  • Over 4,500 pounds of e-waste
  • 200 gallons of used oil
  • Eight tons of paint
  • Over 5,200 pounds of paper
  • Over 3,700 pounds of donated household goods
  • Over 700 donated children's books

The City of Henderson is proud to partner with Republic Services, Salvation Army, Blind Center of NV, Spread the Word Nevada and Opportunity Village for this event.
