Griffin, Ga. - U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering resources to strengthen emergency services in Spalding County.
Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to help upgrade the Spalding County Sheriff Office's helicopter rescue infrastructure.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the County experienced difficulties in emergency response to Hurricanes Helene and Milton, and this new infrastructure will better help them lower and lift personnel and victims out of water and other difficult-to-access areas during emergencies.
Sen. Ossoff is delivering $175,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on January 23.
"I brought Republicans and Democrats together to deliver these Federal resources for upgrades to Spalding County's helicopter rescue capabilities and help ensure the best emergency care when needed," Sen. Ossoff said.
