Jami de Lou to Serve as Vice President of Equity, Inclusion, Belonging

RESTON, Va. - Organizational culture strategist Jami de Lou will serve as the National Wildlife Federation's next vice president of equity, inclusion, and belonging. In this essential role - and consistent with NWF's equal opportunity employment commitments - de Lou will lead NWF's efforts to embed its equity and justice values into its work, become a more welcoming organization, and build an internal culture of trust, wellbeing, and community.

"To ensure wildlife and people can thrive in our rapidly changing world, we need to continue to evolve into a 21st century organization with an internal culture that ensures that every team member feels valued, heard, and empowered," said Collin O'Mara, president and CEO of the National Wildlife Federation. "Jami has an incredible track record of turning core values into lived, everyday realities. We look forward to her leadership helping make us a stronger, more inclusive organization, and better equipped to achieve our mission."

"Every meaningful mission depends on people working across a range of differences with trust, curiosity, adaptability, and a shared sense of purpose," de Lou said. "The National Wildlife Federation has a long history of bringing together partners from all backgrounds in service of wildlife and future generations. I look forward to helping build the culture and systems that enable our people to continue delivering on that mission."

de Lou brings more than a decade of executive leadership experience designing organizational culture, talent, and inclusion strategies. Previously, de Lou served as vice president of diversity, equity, and inclusion at Revantage, where she built the organization's enterprise inclusion strategy and helped embed equitable practices across hiring, career development, performance management, compensation, and succession planning. Most recently, she founded de Lou Strategies, where she advises nonprofit organizations, professional services firms, and growing companies on leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and culture strategy.

She earned an M.A. in Interpersonal Communication from New York University and a B.A. in History from the University of California, Los Angeles. de Lou is an ICF-certified executive coach, an EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360 Certified practitioner, and an Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator. Beyond her organizational leadership work, she is also the host of the Adaptive Humans podcast and a frequent keynote speaker on leadership, organizational culture, and change.
