In a new video, Bryan Seti, vice president of the Yamaha Boat Business Unit, shares his perspective on Discover Boating's role. "Discover Boating has to lead the boating lifestyle," Seti says. "Sales should be left up to the OEMs and dealers."
Discover Boating's purpose is to attract new audiences to boating-it is not a lead generator or sales engine.
Once consumers engage through Discover Boating platforms, manufacturers and dealers take over, using their own marketing strategies to nurture interest, generate leads, and turn curiosity into future boat ownership. This coordinated approach ensures each part of the ecosystem plays to its strengths, without duplicating effort or diluting impact.
