Arvato Opens New Logistics Hub in Spain

Arvato has officially opened its new logistics hub in Illescas, Spain. The 26,000 sqm facility significantly expands the company's operational capacity in one of the country's most important logistics regions and will be capable of processing more than 20 million units annually once fully operational.

Employment for around 300 people

The new site is Arvato's second facility in Illescas and its fourth in the greater Madrid area. Designed as a multi-client and multi-channel operation, it supports B2B and B2C fulfillment, omnichannel logistics and returns management for international beauty and fashion brands serving the Spanish market. The facility is expected to employ around 300 people and further strengthens Arvato's position as a supply chain partner for the beauty and fashion industries in Spain.

Expanding capacity for future growth

The opening of the new site marks another milestone in Arvato's continued growth in Spain and reflects increasing demand for localized fulfillment capabilities across Southern Europe. Located near Madrid and Spain's major transportation corridors, the facility offers ideal conditions for efficient nationwide distribution and rapid market access. According to the company, the operation supports the supply chain redesign of a major international client and further expands Arvato's capabilities for localized fulfillment and omnichannel logistics.

Once fully ramped up, the facility will process more than 20 million units per year, providing the scale required to support continued client growth and increasing demand across the beauty and fashion sectors. Automated transport systems and conveyor technology support efficient material flows and high-volume operations, while the multi-client setup enables scalable growth for several brands across different sales channels.

Alongside its operational capabilities, the building reflects Arvato's commitment to responsible growth. The facility has achieved BREEAM "Excellent" certification and is complemented by local sustainability initiatives, including a car-sharing program for employees.
