Senate Special Committee on Investigations to Hold Meeting

ATLANTA (September 29, 2025) - On Friday, October 3, at 10:00 a.m., the Senate Special Committee on Investigations, chaired by Sen. Bill Cowsert (R-Athens), will meet.

  • Open to the Public: The event is open to the public. The committee meeting will be live-streamed on the Senate website here.

ABOUT THE MEETING:

The meeting will include testimony from Ian Heap, Executive Director of the Georgia Prosecuting Attorneys Qualifications Commission, regarding the legal authority, rules and regulations, and suggestions to make the Commission more effective. The committee will also hear testimony from Josh Belinfante, committee counsel, regarding the status of pending litigation against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
