Delayed: Putnam County Route FF and Mercer County Route E bridge deck replaceme…

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted E&C Bridge, LLC to complete a bridge deck replacement project on four bridges in Mercer, Putnam and Sullivan counties. The closures of the Putnam County Route FF bridge over Shoal Creek, near Livonia, and the Mercer County Route E bridge over West Medicine Creek, near Harris, have each been delayed by two days due to weather.

Traffic Impacts: The Putnam County Route FF bridge will now close on Wednesday, March 18, and the Mercer County Route E bridge will now close on Thursday, March 19. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route around the closures. Both bridges are scheduled to reopen in May 2026.

Listed below are the two other bridges included in this project:

  • The Mercer County Route JJ over West Honey Creek, near Spickard, closed through early April.
  • Sullivan County Route OO over Locust Creek, near Milan, scheduled to begin in May.
