Burn restrictions rescinded in Colorado Springs

Effective immediately, Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) Fire Marshal Kris Cooper has rescinded all burn restrictions for the City of Colorado Springs.

Prior restrictions were put into place following a burn ban. Recent moisture and lower temperatures have helped vegetation recover from extremely dry conditions.

While restrictions are no longer in place, CSFD reminds the community to continue using caution when using fire outdoors and to follow safe fire practices. Additionally, personal fireworks are always illegal in city limits. If caught using fireworks, you may be subject to a fine and/or jail time.
