February One Place Reopens to Traffic Today

Beginning today, February One Place has reopened to traffic. The intersection of February One Place will temporarily operate with a stop sign at Davie Street until Duke Energy completes electrical work required for the new traffic signal to be installed. The Davie Streetscape work zone remains in place as the remainder of improvements are completed. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of November.

The streetscape along February One has been constructed as a curbless festival street, designed to better accommodate events and pedestrian activity. The street also features granite pavers inscribed with quotes from the Greensboro Four, a feature commemorating the City's historic 1960 sit-ins.

The February One streetscape project is part of Greensboro's ongoing efforts to invest in downtown streetscape infrastructure that enhances the look and feel of downtown streets while meeting the needs of vehicles, pedestrians, and special events.

Davie Street will be impacted by temporary road closures associated with the Folk Festival. Visit https://www.greensboro-nc.gov/RoadProjects to learn more about lane and road closures and subscribe to receive email notifications about upcoming work on City streets.
