Head of the Chinese Mission to the African Union Ambassador Jiang Feng Meets with the Permanent Representative of Senegal to the African Union

On July 9, Amb. Jiang Feng, Head of the Mission of China to the African Union, met with H.E. Amb. Mohamed Lamine Thiaw, Permanent Representative of Senegal to the African Union.

Amb. Jiang stated that, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Senegal cooperation has achieved fruitful results across various fields. China highly appreciates Senegal's contributions during its tenure as the rotating Chair of the African Union and as the Co-Chair of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). Amid the current volatile international situation, China stands ready to deepen bilateral and multilateral cooperation with Senegal, jointly uphold multilateralism, and work together to build an All-Weather China-Africa Community with a Shared Future for the New Era.

Amb. Thiaw highly praised Senegal-China relations as well as Africa-China relations. He expressed appreciation for China's long-standing support for the implementation of the African Union's Agenda 2063 and for its contribution to Africa's prosperity and development. Senegal is willing to maintain close communication with the Chinese Mission, to strengthen coordination on multilateral platforms such as the African Union, and work together to uphold international fairness and justice.
