Update: Sidewalk improvements to begin in Princeton May 13

St. Joseph, Mo. - Ti-Zack Concrete, LLC, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will complete a sidewalk improvement project in Princeton and South Lineville. The project has had several schedule changes, and is now expected to begin on Wednesday, May 13, instead of May 20, along U.S. Route 136 in Princeton.

The project to help ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), funded in part through the Transportation Alternatives Program, will improve sidewalks along Route 136 and U.S. Route 65 in Princeton and Route 65 in South Lineville.

Traffic Impacts: Some lane closures will be necessary throughout the project. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and follow all traffic control, flaggers, signs and barricades. All vehicles and personal property will need to be removed from the work area prior to start of construction.

Project schedule:

  • Princeton (U.S. Route 136)
  • Princeton (U.S. Route 65)
  • South Lineville (U.S. Route 65)

Following sidewalk construction, signing, pavement marking and handrail installation will take place. The project is scheduled to be completed in mid-September.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
