HONOLULU, July 1, 2026 - The Northern and Southern Guam Soil & Water Conservation Districts, together with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service, invite the public to attend the Guam Local Working Group meeting. The meeting will take place on July 8, 2-5 p.m., at the LeoPalace Resort in Yona, Guam.
About the Event
This event encourages agricultural leaders, farmers and forest landowners to connect with agency representatives and share their views about Guam's natural resource conditions and conservation needs. Participants' input will help identify key concerns and inform NRCS's local conservation program development and funding decisions.
Purpose of Local Working Group
The Local Working Group advises NRCS, ensuring that conservation programs are tailored to Guam's unique needs. Its members include both Northern and Southern Guam SWCDs, federal and GovGuam agencies, partners, private landowners and agricultural producers. Together, these stakeholders collaborate to strengthen conservation efforts throughout the region.
