CCAS Professor Publishes New Novel

Jung Yun, an associate professor of English at the George Washington University, released her new novel, "All the World Can Hold" (Simon & Schuster, 2026). The book is set aboard an aging cruise ship headed for Bermuda and follows three strangers whose growing tensions lead them to confront past regrets and imagine different futures. The novel explores how people balance their needs and desires, live with regret and find opportunities to make amends.

Yun is the recipient of multiple honors, including the Baker Award for Literary Arts, sponsored by the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance; a Rubys Award from the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation; Individual Artist Fellowships from the Maryland State Arts Council and the Massachusetts Cultural Council; and artist residencies from MacDowell, Ucross and the Virginia Center for the Arts, among others.

Her other novel, "O Beautiful" (St. Martin's Press, 2021), was a New York Times Editors' Choice and Group Text selection and a San Francisco Chronicle Best Book of 2021. And "Shelter" (Picador, 2016), which was named a finalist for the Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers Award.
