The City of Carrollton Marketing Services team recently won three awards from the City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) in a national communications competition.
The Savvy Awards are held in conjunction with 3CMA's Annual Conference and recognize outstanding local government achievement in communications, public-sector marketing, and resident-government relationships.
The City of Carrollton garnered two first place Savvy awards, the first, in the category of Best Annual Report for the 2023 Popular Annual Financial Report, a high-level, easy-to-read compilation of the City's budgetary and financial status. Award commentary described the report as visually appealing and interesting, while remaining professional and branded, as well as easy to navigate with an effective and logical design.
Carrollton's second Savvy was awarded for Best Recurring Event for the planning, advertising, and publicity efforts in support of the 14th Annual Festival at the Switchyard. Comments praised the Festival's promotion as strategic with beautiful designs and strong verbiage.
Additionally, a second-place Silver Circle award was earned for the 2024 Festival at the Switchyard poster design in the category of Graphic Design. Award comments applauded how the right branding and marketing can help drive event foot traffic and success.
"We are proud to be recognized for the City's marketing and communication efforts by a prestigious national organization such as 3CMA," Marketing Director Kelli Lewis said. "The City of Carrollton's Marketing team prioritizes engaging citizens and visitors to increase awareness, excitement, and investment in our City, and strives to further Council's vision to be the community that families and businesses want to call home."
The 3CMA Savvy Awards salute skilled and effective city, county, agency, and district professionals who have creatively planned and carried out successful innovations in communications and marketing.
