Nexstar Media Foundation Announces Honorees for Day Eleven of “30 Days of Giving” Initiative

Irving Cares and Purple Playas Foundation Named as Recipients of $5,000 Grants

Irving, TX (June 11, 2026) - Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXST), today announced that the Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation is making a $5,000 contribution to both Irving Cares and Purple Playas Foundation as part of the company's "30 Days of Giving" initiative, a month-long program recognizing and supporting nonprofit and charitable organizations serving communities across Nexstar's nationwide footprint.

"30 Days of Giving" is an employee-driven initiative created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Nexstar's founding in June 1996. Locally-led committees reviewed submissions from Nexstar's 13,000 employees and selected charitable and nonprofit organizations to nominate for grants. More than 100 organizations were nominated, and the Nexstar Charitable Foundation's Board of Directors chose 60 to receive $5,000 each. Every day during the month of June, the Foundation will award two $5,000 grants; by the end of the month the Foundation will have committed $300,000 to "30 Days of Giving."

The Foundation today recognized Irving Cares and Purple Playas Foundation as recipients of $5,000 grants. The organizations were nominated by employees at Nexstar's corporate office in Irving, TX, and WFLA-TV, the Nexstar television station serving Tampa, FL, respectively.

Irving Cares supports Irving residents with immediate basic needs, as well as support to build a brighter future. Services include rent and utility assistance, GED and ESL programs, job training, and skills certification. Eligible individuals and families may receive emergency assistance with housing or utility payments, transportation, or prescriptions, while their food pantry provides a week's worth of nutritious groceries.

Irving Cares works alongside clients and community partners to create pathways toward self-sufficiency for Irving residents in need and maximize overall impact.

Purple Playas Foundation provides financial assistance and social-emotional support to families of children with chronic illnesses. The organization partners with hospitals, clinics, and community agencies to deliver critical resources, including funding for specialized camps, food and gas assistance for treatment travel, hospital gaming systems, and durable medical equipment not covered elsewhere. The organization also host family-focused events that foster connection and support. Purple Playas invests in the future of pediatric care by supporting fellowships and scholarships in high-need specialties facing critical shortages, beginning with pediatric rheumatology.
