This order underscores MT Aerospace's key role in the space program and makes a significant contribution to ensuring European sovereignty in access to space. Ariane 6 is the backbone of European space transportation and is used for the independent and secure transport of satellites for civil and security-related missions. By providing reliable high technology, MT Aerospace makes a direct contribution to Europe's technological security and the country's strategic autonomy in the international arena.
The collaboration between MT Aerospace and ArianeGroup looks back on a long and successful partnership. In previous programs, MT Aerospace has already made a decisive contribution to the reliability of Ariane rockets with components of the highest precision and quality. On this basis, the company is now continuing its success story in the Ariane program and also guarantees the usual high availability and quality for Ariane 6.
"Ariane 6 will be the backbone of European access to space into the next decade. This keeps the gateway to space open for Europe - with a significant contribution from
Augsburg, which means further growth for our company. This not only strengthens the competitiveness of the European space industry, but also Europe's independence in
accessing space. With this contract, we are consolidating our position as a reliable partner in the European space program and supporting Europe's ability to act in the
areas of security, defense, communication, and research," explains Ulrich Scheib, CEO MT Aerospace AG.
"This fruitful collaboration with a major industrial partner is an important step to make the Ariane 6 ramp-up a success. I would like to thank the teams at ArianeGroup and
MT Aerospace. This agreement underscores the German contribution to the Ariane 6 program and shows the progress in the negotiations with our partners for the
operational phase of the launcher. Ariane 6 will guarantee European sovereignty in space for years to come" says Philippe Clar, Director Space Transportation Programmes at
ArianeGroup AG.
