HORRY COUNTY MAN CHARGED WITH OPERATING WITHOUT RETAIL LICENSE

SCDOR agents arrested an Horry County man on Wednesday and charged him with operating without a retail license.

Zachary Travis Mccutcheon, 26, of Surfside Beach, operated Sky Jewelers in Murrells Inlet. According to an arrest warrant, the retail license for the business was revoked on June 12, 2025 due to unpaid taxes. However, Mccutcheon continued operating the business without a retail license.

If convicted, Mccutcheon faces a maximum sentence of 30 days in jail and/or a $200 fine. He is being held in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center pending a bond hearing.

The Horry County Police Department assisted with the arrest.
