This research project was commissioned under the Shared Island strand of the New Foundations Scheme, administered by the IRC (now Research Ireland). It brought together academics, cultural data specialists and arts sector organisations from England, Ireland and Northern Ireland to develop a data system to transform understanding of cultural engagement and impact on policy, tourism and creative industries development.

This research project was commissioned under the Shared Island strand of the New Foundations Scheme, administered by the IRC (now Research Ireland), and sought to strengthen the shared island ecology of the professional performing arts industry. The project brought together industry associated researchers, professionals, and policymakers to share and critically discuss data regarding existing shared island operations and learn from other sectors currently engaging in all-island practices (e.g. museums, education, tourism).
