NORTH PORT, FL - Julie Bellia has been appointed Deputy City Manager, following the departure of Jason Yarborough after eight years of service to the City of North Port.
Bellia brings more than 45 years of dedicated service to the City. She most recently served as Assistant City Manager after previously leading the Public Works Department as Director.
"Julie has earned the confidence and trust of this organization over decades of service," City Manager Jerome Fletcher said. "Her leadership, experience and deep understanding of our operations make her exceptionally well-suited for this role. I am confident she will continue to serve our community and team with integrity and excellence."
Bellia's extensive institutional knowledge and long-standing commitment to the organization have made her a trusted member of the City's leadership team. Bellia's experience and collaborative approach continue to strengthen coordination and effectiveness across City operations.
"I am honored to continue serving the community in this new role alongside so many talented and dedicated public servants," Bellia said.
With Bellia's transition to the Deputy City Manager role, the City will begin an internal hiring process to fill the Assistant City Manager role.
"We are lucky to have an incredible pool of talent among our leadership team to draw from when filling this position, which will lead to a smooth transition and continuity of operations for the community," Fletcher said.
