Smart pedestrian crosswalkswere delivered to the new markets of Iceland and Bulgaria in the second quarter. An additional order was fulfilled in Greece, one of the largest markets for smart pedestrian crosswalks, with seven sets of smart safety system equipment delivered to the city of Preveza. Installation work was carried out in Reykjanesbær, Iceland; Propontida, Greece; and Tvornaki, Croatia. The fulfilment of DC fast charger orders for Norway continued, with 60 kW wallbox-type fast chargers with two charging cables delivered to the market. Alongside the existing charger models, increased attention was focused on the development of a fast charger with a capacity of up to 600 kW. The HEXA charger was unveiled for the first time in June at the Power2Drive trade fair in Munich, Germany. A 30-80 kW mobile fast charger was also presented at the event. This charger is already being used in the day-to-day operations of customers' workshops in Norway.
Development Services
In the development services sector, development projects relating to electric vehicle charging solutions continued in the second quarter. In the defence sector, efforts were focused on the development of maritime products. A service agreement was signed with a US space technology company with the aim of assisting them in relocating production from Asia to Europe. Opportunities for collaboration on product development were discussed with Norway's largest one-stop-shop engineering firm.
Partner Network Expansion
To expand the reseller network for chargers, visits were made to the Sähkö Electricity trade fair in Finland and the Nordic EV Summit in Norway. Opportunities for offering development services were explored at the Subcon 2026 subcontracting fair held in the United Kingdom.
Mart Suurkask, CEO of Bercman: "The second quarter was characterised, above all, by the substantial work involved in bringing the new HEXA fast charger, with a capacity of up to 600 kW, to market. In June, we unveiled the charger to the public at an industry trade fair in Germany and have begun its commercialisation. This represents a significant step in developing Bercman's portfolio of charging solutions and strengthening our international market position. With our existing 30-80 kW DC products, we are focusing primarily on the Scandinavian markets and the accelerating electrification of heavy-duty vehicles in that region.
At the same time, we have begun preparations to launch a megawatt-class charger to meet the growing demand for heavy-duty vehicles and high-power public charging infrastructure. In the sale of development services and our other proprietary products, we focus on systematic, high-quality sales work and on developing long-term, value-driven customer relationships."
