Former Executive of Company Sentenced to One Year and a Day in Prison for Stealing Over $250,000 from Company

HARRISBURG - The United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Jennifer Werzyn, age 43, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, was sentenced on October 22, 2026, to one year and one day in prison by United States District Judge Keli M. Neary for defrauding her employer.

According to United States Attorney Brian D. Miller, Werzyn spent over $250,000 using a corporate credit card of a Cumberland County based company over the years 2021 to 2024. Werzyn was an executive with the company and responsible for auditing and monitoring employees' expenses made on behalf of the company. In that role, Werzyn was able to conceal her own fraudulent use of the company's credit cards. Werzyn defrauded her employer by making approximately 1,400 transactions appear to be legitimate company expenses when in fact they were personal expenses.

The FBI Philadelphia's Harrisburg Resident Agency investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Consiglio prosecuted the case.
