Tickets on sale now for Come From Away, presented by Fairmont State University Town and Gown Players

The Fairmont State University's Town and Gown production of Come From Away runs June 19-20 and June 24-26 at 7:30 pm and June 21 and 28 at 2:00 pm. All performances take place in the Wallman Hall Theater, located on Fairmont State University's campus. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at www.fairmontstate.edu/boxoffice or in person at the Fairmont State Box Office in Wallman Hall.

Come From Away is a critically acclaimed musical featuring a culturally relevant script accompanied by a deeply moving score by Irene Sankoff and David Hein. The show has earned global success with 37 award nominations, 13 of which resulted in wins, most notably Best New Musical at the 2019 Olivier Awards and Outstanding Musical at the 2017 Drama Desk Awards. The show's global presence resonates across all audiences as an uplifting reminder of humanity's ability to come together, no matter the circumstances.

Come From Away is based on the true story of the time when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world. What started as an average day in a small town turned into an international sleepover, when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from around the globe, were diverted to Gander's airstrip on September 11, 2001. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered up the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we're all part of a global family.

The cast features Courtney Brabham as Diana and Brenda, Sara Brown as Janice and Britney, Alec Cain as Kevin J and Terry, Christian Cox as Nick, Colton Daft as Doug and Matty, Dani Devito as Bonnie and Martha, Brazz Evans IV as Bob and Muhumuza, Brianna Pudsell as Hannah and Margie, Roxanne Rankin as Beverly, Franky Satterfield as Oz, Katie Scherziner as a flight attendant, Doug Seckman as Clude, Derm, and Eddie, Jeremiah Smallridge as Kevin T and Garth, Kate Stevens as Annette and Delores, Davon Thomas as Ali and Captain Bristol, Rebecca Walters as Crystal and Mickey, Kiersten White as Beulah, and Devon Wright as Joey and Robin.

Fairmont State Town and Gown is the second theater company in the state to produce this show.
