Eastbound Main Street closed between 3rd and 5th Street starting Monday, December 8

(December 5, 2025) As part of the city's downtown reconstruction project, eastbound Main St. will be closed for five days between 3rd and 5th streets starting Monday, December 8 to install pavers. The road will close Monday at 7 a.m. and will reopen by 5 p.m. on Friday, December 12. Westbound Main St. will remain open (and drivers will notice that westbound traffic has now been shifted to primarily stay on the proper side of the median).

During this closure, traffic on eastbound Main St. will be diverted south on 3rd St., east on Elm St., and back north on 5th St. to go around the closure [see attached map (PDF)]. Detour signs will be posted.
