State Representative Angie King (R-Celina) is pleased to announce the Ohio Controlling Board approved the release of funding for two projects that will directly benefit the 84th House District.
First, the Controlling Board approved $2,537,700 to construct a new mixed-use building at Grand Lake St. Marys State Park in Auglaize County, Ohio. The building will replace current outdated and inoperable facilities and include a camp store for visitors and an office space for park staff.
"Home to three beautiful trails, a campground, and the lake, Grand Lake St. Marys State Park provides opportunities for local residents and out of town visitors alike to enjoy outdoor recreation and the natural beauty of our great state," said King.
Second, the Controlling Board approved the release of $141,075,000 to the Department of Transportation to support transportation infrastructure projects throughout the state. $700,000 will be allocated to a structure type study on twin bridges that cross over U.S. Route 33 in Auglaize County to determine if there is a need for replacement or rehabilitation.
"This funding will ensure public safety and enhance transportation infrastructure in the 84th House District," said King.
The Ohio Controlling Board oversees requests for changes to budgetary authority for state agencies.
