On Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 7:38 p.m., Portland Police Officers assigned to East Precinct responded to a report of a crash at Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast Lincoln Street. When they arrived they found an injured child, a 9-year-old boy. The boy was transported to the hospital by ambulance with critical, life-threatening injuries. Preliminary information is that he was riding an electric scooter and there was a collision involving a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team is responding to the scene to investigate the crash. During the investigation, Southeast 122nd Avenue is closed between Southeast Sherman and Southeast Mill Streets.
