Getting To and From the Concord Senior Center Just Got Easier

Concord, CA - The City of Concord is excited to announce the expansion of the Senior Transportation Program designed to make getting to and from the City's Senior Center safer, and affordable for local seniors (65 and older) and residents with disabilities.

The Senior Center Shuttle, part of Concord Go!,is a new pilot program that offers free curb-to-curb rides between seniors' homes and the Concord Senior Center (2727 Parkside Circle). Operating Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the shuttle provides easy access to daily Concord Senior Center programs such as the Café Costa lunch program, recreation classes, and social events hosted by the Concord Senior Club, including Bingo, Karaoke, and Bridge.

This expanded service is possible thanks to a generous grant from TRANSPAC (Transportation Partnership and Cooperation), administered through the CCTA (Contra Costa Transportation Authority).

In addition to the new Senior Center Shuttle, Concord Go! continues to offer GoGo Concord, the popular on-demand ride service through the City's partnership with GoGo Grandparent, which allows seniors and residents with disabilities to book rides via services like Uber and Lyft without needing a smartphone or app. Registered users simply call to schedule a ride, available 24/7 to any destination. While ride costs vary, monthly subsidies are available through the Concord Senior Center to help reduce expenses.

Announcing the Senior Transportation Fair - September 16

To help seniors explore their transportation options, the Concord Senior Center invites residents to a Senior Transportation Fair on Tuesday, September 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This convenient, one-stop event will feature representatives from local and regional providers, including Mobility Matters, County Connection, BART, Concord Go!, and the CCTA.
