DALLAS - Deputy Superintendent of Staff and Accountability, Pamela Lear, Ed.D. shared a message with Dallas ISD teachers, staff, students, and families in recognition of Black History Month, reflecting on this years theme "A Century of Black History Commemorations." The message invites the community to honor the legacy of Black leaders while continuing the district's shared work to move forward with purpose.

Highlighting women in sports
National Girls and Women in Sports Day is Wednesday, Feb. 4, and Dallas ISD has many great opportunities to highlight athletes, coaches, and leaders who are breaking barriers and inspiring the next generation of female athletes. From championship teams to trailblazing role models, campuses across the district are full of powerful stories. National Signing Day at South Oak Cliff High School
Dallas ISD will celebrate student-athletes taking the next step in their athletic careers during a National Signing Day ceremony. Seventeen student-athletes from South Oak Cliff High School will formally commit to competing at the collegiate level by signing their letters of intent at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 4.
