COLUSA, Calif. - September 25, 2025 - On Tuesday, Colusa County recognized the retirement of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Wendy Tyler, following a distinguished 25 year career of public service. Tyler, who has served as the County's CAO for 10 years, was honored for her leadership and dedication by the Colusa County Board of Supervisors with a proclamation at their meeting on September 23, 2025.
"Wendy has been an invaluable asset to Colusa County, and her dedication and leadership have been truly exemplary," said Supervisor Daurice Kalfsbeek Smith, Chair of the Colusa County Board of Supervisors. "The Board was honored to recognize her exceptional service with a proclamation, and we extend our deepest gratitude for her unwavering commitment to our community."
Ms. Tyler's tenure was marked by a commitment to fostering a collaborative and professional work environment across all county departments. Her leadership has been instrumental in ensuring the county's continued success and stability.
"Serving as Chief Administrative Officer has been the greatest honor of my professional life," said Tyler. "I am grateful for the privilege of working alongside an extraordinary team of public servants whose dedication and compassion inspire me beyond words. To the residents of Colusa County, thank you for your trust and support. You welcomed me into this community and allowed me to serve, and for that I will always be deeply grateful."
Following a thorough recruitment process, the Board of Supervisors has hired Joshua H. Pack to serve as the new Chief Administrative Officer for Colusa County, effective December 1, 2025. Mr. Pack currently serves as the Public Works Director for Butte County.
