11/03/2025 - Local Resources for SNAP Recipients

Supporting Olympia Families During the Federal Budget Interruption

The City of Olympia knows many residents are feeling the strain as the federal government continues without an approved budget. Due to the federal government shutdown, no November SNAP benefits were issued on November 1, and when benefits become available for disbursement again remains uncertain.

The State of Washington is directing about $2.2 million per week to food banks statewide to help meet increased demand during the SNAP pause.

We want to share local resources should you or a neighbor need support. Listed below are up-to-date resources to help with accessing additional food support during this time.
