KPC and KKR senior leadership meeting in Kuwait City

Kuwait City, Kuwait, 28 October 2026 - Shaikh Nawaf Saud Al-Sabah, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), alongside Bader Ebrahim Al-Attar, Managing Director of Planning & Finance at KPC, welcomed Scott Nuttall, Co-CEO of KKR, General David Petraeus (US Army, Ret.), Partner at KKR, Chairman of the KKR Global Institute and Chairman of KKR Middle East, and Julian Barratt-Due, Managing Director and Head of Middle East Investing at KKR, in Kuwait City.

The meeting provided an opportunity for senior leadership from KPC and KKR to come together following the landmark US$16 billion infrastructure agreement involving Kuwait Oil Company's domestic and export crude oil pipeline network. Signed in July 2026 with a consortium of international infrastructure and institutional investors including KKR, the agreement represents the largest foreign direct investment in Kuwait's history and reflects KKR's long-term commitment to the region and the growing role of international private capital in supporting Kuwait's infrastructure and development priorities.
