NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (October 30, 2025) - Concept plans for H3, the third and final stage of the transformative HELIX project, were unveiled at a recent virtual Housing Authority meeting, promising to reshape the city's skyline and economy.

The 42-story, 502-foot-tall tower is anticipated to cost $485 million and will be built along Paterson Street. H3 will include a mix of uses, including a 252,000-square-foot commercial base with offices for Middlesex County, private-sector wet- and dry-lab space, and a new home for Rutgers School of Engineering's wind labs.

The residential portion, dubbed "The Watson," will occupy floors 14-39 and feature 265 apartments, including 53 designated as affordable housing, and housing for 100 Rutgers medical students.

H3 will complete the HELIX project, a hub designed to serve 4,000 professionals and students right across the street from the New Brunswick Train Station.
