Members of the public are invited to an official "Open House and Gallery Reception" for League City's Artists in Residency Program. As part of the City's Public Art Initiative, the new program provides three local artists with free studio space and an inspiring environment to produce works of the creative imagination. In return, the artists host free workshops and teach classes that are part of the City's library and recreational programming.
During the event, the three artists selected for the program-Daniela Gutkowski, Julie Massey, and Noah Nolet-will showcase their work and their studio space located inside the historic Ghirardi House at Heritage Park. They will also be available to meet with members of the public to discuss the program and its impact on their work and creative process. Complimentary light bites and refreshments will be served.
