Discussion on Regional Cooperation: Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan's Meeting with Governor of Thessaly Dimitrios Kouretas
29 October, 2025Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Greece, Tigran Mkrtchyan, met with the Governor of Thessaly, Dimitrios Kouretas.
During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for cooperation with regions of Armenia. Ambassador Mkrtchyan invited Mr. Kourretas, along with several leading entrepreneurs from the Thessaly region, to visit Armenia and explore prospects for collaboration firsthand. The Governor of Thessaly welcomed the proposal.
The discussion also covered potential areas of cooperation such as agriculture, high technology, education, and culture.
An agreement was also reached to organize events in the region dedicated to Armenia.
The Governor emphasized the important role of the Greek-Armenian community in various spheres of the country's life.
