Cary, NC - In recognition of National 311 Day on March 11, it's a perfect time to call, click, visit, and now text your non-emergency requests for information and services to Cary 311. Cary 311 is the Town's non-emergency customer service contact point, allowing anyone within Town limits to report concerns, ask questions about Town programs and services, and request non-emergency assistance. The ability to text is Cary 311's latest effort to meet citizens where they are. From any device, simply text your request to 898311. A live person from Cary 311, dubbed a citizen advocate, will respond during business hours; after hours, a case is made, and a tracking number will be provided for further service.
"We know people communicate in different ways today. Some call. Some go online. And a lot of folks text. Adding the ability to text Cary is just another way for us to meet people where they are and make it easier to connect with their local government," said Interim Town Manager Russ Overton. "At the end of the day, if you've got a question, need a service, or just aren't sure who to call, 311 is that front door to Cary."
Open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., citizen advocates are ready to answer questions or create service requests, complete with a tracking number so you can monitor your request's progress. Offered in over 50 languages, Cary 311 ensures every citizen, visitor, and business can access the Town services they need.
