Columbus, OH (September 9, 2025)

Franklin University proudly announces its 180th Commencement Ceremony, to be held Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, at 2 p.m. (ET), at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

This milestone event will honor the achievements of hundreds of graduates who have reached the culmination of their academic journeys. Family, friends, faculty, and staff will gather to celebrate the resilience, determination, and success of Franklin students who balanced education with the many demands of work, family, and community.

Among this year's graduates are nearly 75 students completing their degrees through Franklin's Pathway Portal, including the University's first-ever graduate from the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). Since its launch, the Pathway Portal has helped more than 6,000 students nationwide continue their education, reflecting Franklin's longstanding commitment to access and opportunity.

The ceremony will also feature a student speaker who embodies Franklin's mission: Ronald Treisch. Ronnie has spent the past six years in law enforcement, supporting individuals in crisis and navigating high-pressure situations. His work inspired a passion for psychology and a drive to move from reactive responses to proactive support. With his bachelor's degree in psychology, Ronnie aims to help people earlier and make a lasting, positive impact.

Franklin's 180th Commencement stands as both a celebration of individual accomplishment and a collective reminder of the transformative power of higher education.
