The City of Gaithersburg has its draft Action Plan for the period July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027. Submission of this Plan is a requirement to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Community Development (HUD). As an entitlement community for CDBG funds, the City will receive $476,657 to address the following national objectives and goals set by HUD: to provide decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanded economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons in the City of Gaithersburg.
The City's draft Action Plan outlines the activities the City intends to undertake with CDBG funds in the year ahead to address priority needs and local objectives identified in its five-year Consolidated Plan, its Annual Strategic Plan and estimates the number and type of families to benefit from such proposed activities. The City may amend this draft Plan based on feedback received during the 30-day review period.
